Material examined. Stn.8: 0 5.12.2009, 17 m—several infertile colonies to 5 cm high, from sediment bottom (MNHN-IK.2009-820). Stn.10: 0 2.12.2009, 18 m—several sterile stems and fragments to 4.5 cm high, on concretions. Stn.12: 30.11.2009, 12–15 m—several sterile colonies and fragments, to 8.5 cm high, on hard substrate. Stn.13: 19.11.2009, 13 m—several sterile stems and fragments to 5 cm high, on hard substrate. Stn.20: 26.11.2009, 20 m—several sterile colonies and fragments to 4.5 cm high, on hard substrate.
Remarks. For synonymy and description, see Ansín Agís et al. (2001). The medusoid gonophores were described by Gravier (1970), and their release and spawning by Bourmaud & Gravier-Bonnet (2004).
