Description of Bacillus altitudinis View in CoL AMTF-M7

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, ovoid, and short rods with flagella. Colonies are circular, slightly convex, glistening, and yellowish gray-colored after three days of incubation at 25℃ on MA. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and β-galactosidase activities. Utilizes D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, malic acid, and trisodium citrate. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, and glucose fermentation. Does not utilize D- maltose, capric acid, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain AMTF-M7 (= NIBRBAC000508905) was isolated from a tidal flat in Anmyeon Island , Chungcheongnam-do, Korea (36°33′ 58.6″N 126°21′57.1″E) GoogleMaps .
