Material examined. – 7 specimens - Bukit Timah - 7 ex., swampy meadow near pond, 9 Apr.1997, coll. M. Balke, L. Hendrich & H. K. Lua ( CBH, ZRC) .

Distribution. – West Malaysia ( Wooldridge 1977; Hansen, 1999), Singapore!

Ecology. – A rare species which is restricted to the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Paracymus pusillus is a lentic species, which occurs in very shallow water, at the edge of small, exposed well-vegetated pools and puddles fed by small helocrenes.
