Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by the valva with distal 1/4 concave on the ventral margin. It is similar to A. angustivalva sp. nov. in male genitalia, and the differences between them are stated under A. angustivalva .

Description. Adult ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 9–16 ). Forewing length 6.9−7.5 mm.

Head yellow mixed with brown. Antenna yellow on ventral surface; scape brown, flagellum pale yellow annulated with brown on dorsal surface. Labial palpus with second palpomere dark brown, pale yellow in basal half on inner surface; third palpomere yellow, with scattered dark brown scales.

Thorax and tegula yellowish brown. Forewing ground color yellowish brown; black spot at base of costal margin, near base of both fold and dorsum respectively; discal, discocellular, plical and tornal spots rounded, dark brown; terminal dots dark brown, ranging from distal middle of costal margin and along termen; fringe yellowish brown, mixed with brown at base. Hindwing and fringe yellowish brown. Foreleg yellow except tarsus dark brown on dorsal surface; midleg pale yellow on ventral surface, dark brown on dorsal surface; hindleg yellow, femora paler, tarsus mixed with brown distally.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 23–28 ). Uncus clavate, slightly wide basally, rounded at apex. Gnathos circular. Tegumen with posterior 1/3 sub-trapezoidal; lateral arm narrowed anteriorly. Valva with basal 3/4 almost uniformly wide, distal 1/4 slightly narrowed to rounded apex, extending ventrad, concave on ventral margin; costa concave before middle; sacculus with dorsal margin reaching below of costa; ventral margin banded, with a spine-shaped free distal process reaching distal 1/4 of valva. Saccus longer 1/2 length of uncus, wide at base, narrowed to middle, distal half uniform, rounded at apex. Juxta with ventral surface sub-rectangular; dorsal surface turriform, with coiled ridges, apically reaching gnathos. Aedeagus about 3/5 length of valva, tubular, with some denticles running from distal 3/10 to distal 1/10 ( Fig. 28a View FIGURES 23–28 ).

Female genitalia ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34–39 ). Apophyses posteriores about 1.5 times length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth tergum and sternum obtuse on posterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis horizontally narrow, banded, concave on posterior margin medially, Ductus bursae sclerotized on ventral surface, membranous on dorsal surface. Corpus bursae oval, about 1.8 times length of ductus bursae; singum being a small basal plate bearing two long spines.

Distrubition. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the Latin venter- and concavus, referring to the valva with the distal 1/4 concave on the ventral margin.
