Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by the sacullus with a thumb-shaped process near apex, the juxta distinctly extended anteromedially, and the aedeagus laterally with an ear-like process at distal 1/ 4 in the male genitalia; and sub-trapezoidal corpus bursae in the female genitalia.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3–8 ). Forewing length 5.6–6.3 mm.

Head yellow. Antenna: scape blaskish brown on dorsal surface, pale yellow on ventral surface; flagellum yellow, with dark brown annulations on dorsal surface. Labial palpus yellow; second palpomere yellow on inner surface, dark brown on outer surface; third palpomere black medially.

Thorax and tegula brown. Forewing ground color yellow, mixed with brown scales; costal margin dark brown along basal 1/3; black spot at base of fold and costal margin respectively; discal, discocellular, plical and tornal spots black; terminal dots dark brown, ranging from distal 1/3 of costal margin along termen to tornus; fringe yellowish brown. Hindwing greyish brown; fringe yellowish brown. Fore- and midlegs yellow, tibia and tarsi dark brown on dorsal surface; hindleg yellow, mixed with brown scales on outer surface.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 17–22 ). Uncus clavate, wide at base, pointed at apex. Gnathos with mesial plate triangular, rounded at apex; basal arms narrowly banded, about twice length of mesial plate. Tegumen sub-triangular posteriorly, with a large sub-rectangular anterior emargination. Valva narrow at base, slightly widened to middle, distal half sub-quadrate, truncate at apex, densely setose; costal margin concave before middle; sacculus short, about 1/3 length of ventral margin of valva, narrow at base, widened distally, with a heavily sclerotized, upright, thumbshaped process near apex. Saccus short, stubbed, about 1/4 length of uncus. Juxta large, sub-rectangular, produced to a short thumb-shaped process anteromedially. Aedeagus about 3/5 length of valva, tubular in basal 3/4, tapered from distal 1/4 to rounded apex, with an ear-like process at distal 1/4 laterally ( Fig.19a View FIGURES 17–22 ); cornutus absent.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 29–33 ). Apophyses posteriores about twice length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth tergum rectangular, eighth sternum concave in V shape medially on anterior margin, with a cut at middle on posterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis U-shaped, extending backward laterally. Antrum short, cup-shaped. Ductus bursae uniformly narrow in posterior 1/3, wide in anterior 2/3; ductus seminalis arising from posterior 1/3 of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae sub-trapeziform, nearly same length as ductus bursae; with two signa: one signum situated below entrance of corpus bursae, crescent, the other irregularly quadrilateral, with a sclerotized ridge at posterior 1/3.

Distribution. China (Hainan, Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the Latin auriculatus, referring to the earlike process at distal 1/4 of the aedeagus laterally.
