2. Drabescus convolutus sp. nov.

Description. Length (including tegmen): ♂, 7.6 mm.

General appearance as in D. cuspidatus sp. nov., but pronotum with bright yellow band on the anterior margin, pronotum and scutellum with more brown spots or maculae (Figs. 32–33). Hind femur with apical setae 2+2+1.

Male genitalia. Pygofer side basally broad, apex narrowed with few enlarged setae, with ventral margin turned inward subapically, pygofer process slender and tapering (Fig. 42). Subgenital plate broader basally than apex, nearly triangular, with many scattered fine setae, apex digitiform and abruptly bent mesad (Fig. 43). Style slender, ventral margin serrate subapically (Fig. 44). Aedeagal shaft strongly and evenly recurved, nearly forming circle in lateral view, slightly tapered distally with apex slightly bulbous; with pair of slender processes arising laterally near base and curved along shaft in lateral view, 1/3 length of shaft, slightly divergent in ventral aspect; gonopore preapical on posterior surface (Figs. 45–46). Connective Y-shaped, stem twice length of arms (Fig. 47).

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, CHINA: Guizhou Province, Maolan, 16. VII. 2011, collected by Song Qiong-zhang.

Remarks. This species is similar to D. conspicuus Distant , but can be distinguished by its apically broad pygofer side, more slender and elongate aedeagal shaft with longer basal processes and basal margin slightly sinuate.

Etymology. New species name is derived from the Latin word “ convolutus ”, referring to the inwardly twisted apex of the pygofer side.
