Tettigonia nigrilinea Stål, 1870 , Hemiptera insularum Philippinarum. Bidrag till Philippinska oarnes Hemipter-fauna. Svenska Vetensk. Akad. Ofversigt af Forhandl. 27: 735.
Cofana nigrilinea (Stål) : Young, 1979, Proc. Entomol. Soc. Wash., 81(1): 7.
Cofana nigrilinea (Stål) : Krishnankutty & Viraktamath, 2008, Zootaxa, 1874: 40.
Distribution. China (Hainan, Yunnan, Taiwan), Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo, Philippines, New Guinea, Is. of New Britain, Bougainville, Solomon Islands ( Young, 1979; Wilson et al., 2009).
Notes. Krishnankutty & Viraktamath (2008) redescribed this species in detail and illustrated male genitalia based on specimens from India. We recognized the Chinese distribution of this species mainly based on the Young (1979) list and two images of specimens determined by Y.L. Zhang in the Wilson et al. (2009) illustrated checklist. We were not able to examine these specimens to confirm the identifications.
