Description of Chryseobacterium lactis HMF2732

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rodshaped (1.6 μm long, 0.4 μm wide). Colonies are circular, entire, convex and yellowcolored after 2 days of incubation on R2A at 30°C. Negative reactions are obtained for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase and urease in API 20NE. Does not utilize L arabinose, D mannitol, N acetylglucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid and trisodium citrate. Strain HMF2732 (= NIBRBA0000115000) was isolated from a lagoon sample, lagoon, Gangneung, Korea.
