Description of Sediminibacterium ginsengisoli HME 7508

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rod­shaped (1.3 μm long, 0.3 μm wide). Colonies are circular, convex, entire and orange­colored after 3 days of incubation on R2A at 30°C. Negative reactions are obtained for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase in API 20NE. Does not utilize capric acid. Strain HME7508 (= NIBRBA0000114981) was isolated from a freshwater sample, Yongin, Korea.
