Notes: This is the first record of P. croceorrhizus for New Zealand; with the addition of northern Western Australian (Pilbara and Kimberley) sequences it expands the known distribution of this species to include most of tropical northern Australia.

Notes: This species is reported from the Kimberley region of north-western Australia for the first time (previously known from southern and eastern Australia. Pisolithus marmoratus is sister to P. hypogaeus , the only truffle-like species.
