DISCUSSION OF FORM: Gans (1963b: 3, 1964e: 192). See also Amaral (1937d), Cunha and Nascimento (1982, distribution), Duellman (1989), Elter (1981), and Hoogmoed and De AvilaPires (1991, variation).

RANGE: Mouth of the Amazon (Tocantins?), Marajo Island, and Belem, Para, Brazil.
