Amphisbaena Cynisca newalaensis Loveridge, 1962: 4 . TYPE LOCALITY: ‘‘ Newala, on the edge of the Makonde Plateau at 2600 ft.,... Newala District Southern Province Tanganyika.’’ Holotype: MCZ 67005. Paratypes: MCZ 67006– 67009 About MCZ ; BMNH 1962.172 – 1962.176 .

RANGE: Rondo and Makonde Plateau, Southern Province, Tanzania.

RANGE: Known from the type and two additional specimens from Mozambique (Broadley, 1964).
