Note. In the catalogue, McDermott used Olivier (1885) as the date of publication, but his notecard reads E. Olivier (1907). This publication ( Olivier 1907) only contains a catalogue entry and a figure of the species, and lacks a proper description, but is cited as the description date by Olivier (1910). The description was printed in 1909. Also, while the first mention of the species was for Cladodes gloriosus in Olivier (1907) , the associated figure was incorrectly labeled Lucidota gloriosus .
