Cataglyphis savignyi (Dufour, 1 862)

{ Myrmecocystus viaticus desertorum Forel, 1894 } ( Figs 3E , 4R ) 2 syntypes (☿): “ M. viaticus v. desertorum Gabès, Tunesien”. Forel (1894b) mentioned Gabès as the locality of C. desertorum , described as n. v. [nouvelle variété]. However, C. desertorum is at present a junior synonym of C. savignyi .
