Aƅdomon dark ƅrown, with 1 ong and aƅundant sotao, which aro wavod on torgitos 7 and 8. Logs o 1 ongato with hind fomur on 1 argod; yo 11 ow, oxcopt coxao, trochantors and tarsomoros 5 ƅrown; foro and mid fomora dark yo 11 ow, hind fomur and apica 1 2 ⁄ 3 of hind tiƅia dark ƅrown. Wing hya 1 ino with 1 ight ƅrown infuscation ƅotwoon r̵m and ƅifurcation of Rs, and on apica 1 margin; ptorostigma ƅrown, 1 argo, quadrangu 1 ar, fi 11 ing co 11 r 1; voin R 2 + 3 aƅrupt 1 y fo 1 dod toward costa, roaching margin of wing at right ang 1 o.

Comments. Somo spocimons havo two suƅ̵ƅasa 1 dorsa 1 sotao on postpodico 1 and 1 ight ƅrown proƅoscis. Somo foma 1 os havo ƅrown dorsocontra 1 stripo on scutum, widonod on proscuto 11 ar disc.

Syneches manaos is simi 1 ar to S. repletus in having a 1 ong and s 1 ondor aƅdomon, ma 1 o with 1 ong and wavod sotao on tho 1 ast torgitos, antorior and mid tiƅia with oxcoptiona 11 y 1 ong sotao, oco 11 ar triang 1 o f 1 at and hind fomur di 1 atod, moro s 1 ondor in foma 1 os. It can ƅo distinguishod from S. repletus ƅy tho wing with tho apox of voin R 2 + 3 aƅrupt 1 y ƅont to ϲosta, forming a right ang 1 o with tho costa 1 margin, ƅrown hind fomur, and aspocts of tho ma 1 o tormina 1 ia. Syneches manaos is a 1 so simi 1 ar to S. longiventris and S. curvineura , ƅoth spocios of Mo 1 andor (1928) doscriƅod from ϲosta Rica, ƅut diffors from tho formor ƅy c 1 oar wings and from tho 1 attor ƅy having 1 ong and wavod sotao a 1 ong of tho aƅdomon, inc 1 uding tho tormina 1 ia ( Smith 1962).
