Variability. Aedeagus of examined specimens from Weza and Silaka is identical with types ( Fig. 29 View Figs in PUTHZ 2006), the basal bulbe of aedeagus in specimens from Ntsubane is larger than in specimens from other localities. The enlargement of the head in specimens from Ntsubane is similar as in specimens from Weza and Silaka.
Distribution. Octavius extralobatus has been recorded only from Weza NR in KwaZulu-Natal Province and Mhlanhane, Ntsubane and Silaka in Eastern Cape Province.
