Type locality. South Africa, Western Cape, Cape Peninsula, Hout Bay, Skorsteenkop.
Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: WESTERN CAPE: Table Mts. NP, Echo valley, 34°7ƍS,18°27ƍE, 13.ii.2012, indig. forest, forest litter, sifting, J. Janák lgt., 1 ♀ ( JJRC).
Distribution. Octavius brincki has been recorded from Cape Peninsula only: Skorsteenkop, Muizenberg, Echo valley ( Fig. 59 View Figs ) and Wynberg Cave.
