Host/habitat. Dysmicoccus brevipes , D. ryani , Ferrisia virgata , Formicococcus njalensis , Phenacoccus gossypii , P. sp., Planococcus citri , P. ficus , P. kenyae , P. kraunhiae , P. sp. nr. ficus , P. vovae , Pseudococcus calceolariae , P. comstocki , P. cryptus , P. longispinus , P. maritimus , P. viburni , P. sp. Saccharicoccus sacchari

Remarks. This species was established in 1914, when it was imported from Sicily in a biocontrol program against P. citri ( Bartlett 1978 c). It is now reared in commercial insectaries and continues to be used against several mealybug species. In the 1990 s, additional stock was imported from the Middle East and released in Riverside County ( González 1998), while further releases have been made in Fresno County.
