Smetana, 2002: 122 ( Quedius ; subgenus Raphirus ; Type locality: China, (W-Hubei) Daba Shan pass E Mt. Da Shennongjia 12 km NW Muyuping 31°30'N 110°21'E, 1950 m).
Material examined. CHINA: Guizhou Province: 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Xishui County, Dabaitang, 1100 m, 25. IX. 2000, coll. Hongbin Liang.
Measurements. BL = 11.8 mm, BW = 2.5 mm, HL/PL/EL = 1.00: 1.50: 1.63, HW/PW/EW/AW = 1.00: 1.39: 1.53: 1.45, HW/HL = 1.17, HEL/HTL = 4.58, PW/PL = 1.09, EW/EL = 1.10, ESL/EL = 0.53. Distribution. Quedius herbicola Smetana is widely distributed in China (Chongqing, Hubei, Guizhou and Zhejiang Province). The present specimens of Quedius herbicola Smetana were collected from northern Guizhou Province at an altitude of 1100 m.
