Material examined. CHINA: Sichuan Province: 1 ♂, Emeishan City, Emei Mountain, Baoguo Temple, 550–750 m, 22. IV. 1957, coll. Youcai Lu; 1 ♂, Emeishan City, Emei Mountain, Qingyinge, 800–1000 m, 10. V. 1957, coll. Fuxing Zhu.
Measurements. BL = 11.4 mm, BW = 2.5 mm, HL/PL/EL = 1.00: 1.50: 1.62, HW/PW/EW/AW = 1.00: 1.40: 1.46: 1.35, HW/HL = 1.21, HEL/HTL = 4.39, PW/PL = 1.13, EW/EL = 1.10, ESL/EL = 0.52.
Distribution. Quedius fen Smetana is known only from the mountains of central Sichuan Province: Emei and Qingcheng, at altitudes between 550 m and 2500 m. The examined specimens were collected from April to May.
