Phytotaxa 99(1) (2013) 12; Kiew et al., Guide to Begonias of Borneo (2015) 98. Type: — MALAYSIA. Borneo. Sarawak. Marudi District : Gunung Mulu NP – Sungai Terikan, 16 April 2012, Julia et al. SFC 2812 View Materials (holotype SAR!) .

Distribution: — MALAYSIA. Borneo. Sarawak. Endemic in Gunung Mulu NP where it is widespread and common.

Habitat: —Restricted to limestone habitats on the shaded base of vertical cliff faces, on boulders or mossy rock faces at 200–1150 m elevation.

Additional specimens examined: — MALAYSIA. Borneo. Sarawak. Marudi District: Gunung Mulu NP – Gunung Api, Sirukit & Azam SFC 3007 (SAR), trail to Clearwater Cave, Julia et al. S 99206 (SAR), Abang Mohtar et al. S 49632 (KEP); Julaihi S 86819 (KEP).

Notes: —A creeping or scrambling species, rooting at the nodes with plain green, slightly oblique leaves, 8.5–21 × 12–25 cm, with scalloped or toothed margin. The venation is palmate-pinnate with 3–4 veins in basal lobe.
