Note:— Pinguicula filifolia was described by Grisebach (1866) based on a specimen collected by C. Wright in Western Cuba (560, Wright 2886). In the same way as for P. albida, Casper (1966) cited “ holotype ” ( P) and “ isotype ” ( MO) and Howard (1988) selected the specimen at GOET as “ holotype ”; nevertheless, Howard’s typification was not effectively published. During our searches we have traced nine specimens collected by Wright (2886) housed at G, GOET, HAC, MA, MO, NY, P, US and YU but its examination reveleaved the same incongruences regarding the information on the labels (collection year) as found in other Wright’s specimens (see note on P. albida for details). Therefore, we have selected the GOET specimen as lectotype according to Arts. 9.2, 9.3, 9.11 and 9.13 of the ICN ( McNeill et al. 2012) and just the specimen housed at US, which bears the same collection year (1865), is recognized as isolectotype (Rec. 9 C).
