General Distribution: Albania, Greece, North Macedonia, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey ( Löbl and Löbl 2016).
Distribution in Turkey: Widespread. The data presented here constitute the first record of this species in vineyards in both Mardin (Mazidaği) and Şirnak (Idil).
Larval Host Plants: Persica spp. , Prunus spp. , Rosa spp. (all Rosaceae ) ( Alfieri 1976; Halperin and Argaman 2000); V. vinifera represents a new host record.
Notes. The species was reared from the mediumsized branches of V. vinifera of the Mazrone variety. It is not clear if the species directly affected the vitality of the branches since most of the infestation recorded occurred on plants already debilitated by wood cancer or fungal pathogens.
