68. Lasianthus yalaensis Napiroon et al. (2018:175) View in CoL . Type: ― THAILAND. Yala, Ban Chulabhon Phattana 10, 1 February 2015, M. Poopath et al.876 (holotype BKF!; isotype PSU!).

T hailand: ―PENINSULAR. Yala, Betong district, Ban Chulabhorn Phattana 10–11 June 2005, V. Chamchumroon & M. Poopath 2191 (BKF, PSU) ; Songkhla: Na Thawi, Sankalakiri National park , 9 April 2018, T. Napiroon et al. 027 ( BKF) .

Distribution: ―Endemic to Thailand (Peninsular).

Ecology: ―Growing in shade among understory trees in tropical rainforest, on metamorphic or granitic rock substrates at 400‒1000 m elevation.

Note: ― Lasianthus yalaensis is morphologically similar to Lasianthus pilosus , but it differs in having lanceolate (not triangular-lanceolate) stipules, small leaves 5–8 × 2–2.5 (not 8–17 × 3.5–6) cm, 7–8 (not 9–15) pairs of secondary veins, strigose (not pilose) indument on the leaf blade, midrib, branches, stipules, bracts and calyx, cupular (not tubular) calyx, 2‒3 (not 5–6) mm, triangular (not linear) lobes, and calyx limb on fruits with short lobes 1‒1.5 mm (not 2–3) mm long.
