T hailand: —SOUTH-WESTERN. Kanchanaburi: 8 November 2001, M. van De Bult 488 (BKF). PENINSULAR. Krabi: Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, 10 Jan. 2006, S. Gardner & P. Sidisuthorn ST2197 (BKF, K), 31 March 2005, S. Gardner & P. Tippayasri ST1801 (BKF, K). Satun: Thaleban National Park, 12 September 1990, C. Puff, A. Igersheim & V. Urchirakal 900912-2/10 (BKF, WU).
Distribution: —Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand (South-Western, Peninsular).
Ecology: —Tropical rain forest in shaded places at an elevation of 300‒ 500 m.
Notes: ― Lasianthus conspicuus was recorded for the first time in Thailand based on specimens deposited in BK ( Zhu 2001). More recently we have found additional specimens of L. conspicuus at BKF.
