Distribution: ― China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Peninsular Malaysia, Philippines (Palawan), Thailand (Northern, North-eastern, South-eastern, Peninsular).

Ecology: ―Evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 50 m to over 900 m.

Notes: ― Lasianthus chinensis usually has leaves with 10–13(–15) pairs of lateral veins, reticulate veinlets, and reflexed margins, calyx obviously orbicular or triangular ovate with reflexed lobes in all samples, and drupes pubescent with 5–6 pyrenes. The similar species L. verticillatus has 5–9 pairs of lateral veins, usually truncate or minutely toothed calyx, and drupes that are smooth and rounded.
