Distribution: — Malaysia (Peninsular, Borneo), Indonesia (Sumatra, Java), Thailand (Peninsular).
Ecology: —Moist evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 100‒ 400 m. Flowering in April‒May and fruiting in July‒September.
Notes: ―In Thailand, this species occurs only in the Peninsular region. It can easily be recognized by its inflorescence bracts which are conspicuous and densely long-hirsute.
