Distribution: — Malaysia (Peninsular, Borneo), Singapore, Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi), Brunei, Philippines (Palawan), Thailand (South-Eastern, Peninsular).

Ecology: —Moist evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 200‒ 300 m. Flowering in July‒October and fruiting in November‒February.

Notes: ―Thai specimens of Lasianthus reticulatus were identified as L. maingayi Hook.f. (1880:188) until this name was synomised by Zhu et al. (2012). From our herbarium studies and field observations we agree that L. maingayi can not be separated from L. reticulatus .
