= Lasianthus maingayi Hooker (1880:188) var. hirta Ridley (1923a:160) . Type: ― MALAYSIA. Negri Sembilan, H. N. Ridley s.n. (isotype K000763939!).

Thailand: —PENINSULAR. Ranong: 2 February 1927, A. F. G. Kerr s.n. ( BKF). Songkhla: Khao Nam Khang, 28 August 1995, K. Larsen et al. 46088 (AAU, BKF, PSU).

Distribution: — Malaysia (Peninsular, Sabah), Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan), Singapore, Thailand (Peninsular).

Ecology: —Moist evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 100– 300 m. Flowering in July–August and fruiting in September–October.

Notes: ― Lasianthus ridleyi is closely related to L. reticulatus but differs by having numerous linear inflorescence bracts and subglobose drupes that are not oblique and not narrowed at the base, while L. reticulatus does not have bracts and its drupes are oblique-elliptic with a narrowed base.
