Distribution: ―Endemic to Thailand (South-Eastern, Peninsular).

Ecology: ―Moist evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 100‒ 300 m. Flowering in March‒April and fruiting in May‒June.

Notes: ― Lasianthus subcalvus has large flowers, 10‒12 mm long, 4 lobed, pilose, fruits fusiform, 1‒2 cm long, glabrous or subglabrous. This species can often be found with flowers and fruits in the field and they often remain on herbarium sheets.
