Notes: ―In Thailand, Lasianthus hookeri is similar to L. lancifolius Hook.f. (1880:187) and L. sikkimensis Hook. f. (1880:180) . It is separated from L. lancifolius by having: leaves oblong, 12‒24 × 3‒6 cm (not lanceolate to elliptic lanceolate, 13‒20 × 2.5‒4 cm); 5‒6 pairs of lateral veins (not 8‒9 pairs); tertiary veins parallel or subparallel (not reticulate or subreticulate); indumentum at leaf margin, nerves and abaxial leaf ciliate and pubescent (not sparely puberulent). In addition, both differ from L. sikkimensis by having bracts absent (not persistent linear-lanceolate), calyx campanulate (not obconical), fruits globose (not ellipsoid) and indument puberulent (not tomentose).
