T hailand: ―NORTHERN. Chiang Mai: Doi Inthanon National Park, M. Tagawa 2859 (BKF).

Distribution: ―NE India, China, N Vietnam, Thailand (Northern).

Ecology: ―Evergreen forest and hill evergreen forest at an elevation of 800‒1000 m.

Notes: ― Lasianthus micranthus was reported as new to Thailand by Zhu (2001). It has conspicuously short inflorescences peduncles that are less than 5 mm long which easily separates this species from other species. It is is similar to L. bicolor Craib (1933:19) but differs by having leaves ovate-lanceolate and 9‒12 × 3‒3.5 cm (not oblong-elliptic and 10‒12 × 3.5‒4 cm), 5‒6 pairs of secondary veins (not 8‒9 pairs), stipules triangular and 3‒3.5 mm long (not lanceolate and 2 mm long), inflorescence peduncles 3.5‒4 mm long (not 5‒10 mm long), calyx obconical, calyx tube 1‒1.5 mm long, calyx lobes minutely triangular 0.5 mm long (not calyx obconical, calyx tube 2.5‒3 mm long, calyx lobes 2.8 ‒3 mm long), drupe globose and 2.5‒3 mm diameter (not not seen on type).
