Distribution: — Myanmar, Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand (Peninsular).

Ecology: —Moist evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 80‒ 300 m. Flowering in November‒ December and fruiting in January‒February.

Notes: ― Lasianthus pilosus var. angustifolius Hook.f. (1880:182) supposedly differs from the typical variety by having the leaves relatively narrow which, in our opinion, is not enough to separate it from the typical variety.
