T hailand: ―PENINSULAR. Yala: Betong district, 11 June 2005, V. Chamchumroon & M. Poopath VC2193 (BKF, PSU), Ban Nang Sata district, 17 October 2017, Poopath M. 2012 (BKF).
Distribution: ―Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand (Peninsular).
Ecology: ―Lowland tropical rain forests at an elevation of 100– 150 m.
Note: ― Lasianthus oblongus is known from small populations scattered in the western and northwestern Malaysia, and some parts of northern Perak State connected with natural areas in Yala province of Thailand, where we have found this species (Napiroon et al. 2018).
