General distribution: S and C Europe, south and weastern parts of European Russia, N Africa, Caucasus, Asia Minor, Syria, Afghenistan, Kazakhstan, south part of W Siberia, Central Asia (Kyrguzstan, Tajikistan); introduced also to India and Taiwan. [CEM]
Note: Rather infrequent species in Latvia. Hitherto, it was known only from 2 localities.
