Diagnosis. Medium sized Suwallia . Head yellow with dark area between the ocelli and anterior to M-line. Pronotum yellow with dark medial stripe and dark anterior and lateral bands. Abdominal medial stripe long and distinct. Male tergum 10 with separated anterior sclerites, paired longitudinal sclerites elongated drop-shaped, hemitergal process short. Epiproct with large and dark base resembles a flying eagle, tip large and pale, knob-like, margins covered with long hairs. Aedeagus with wide basal sclerite, a large, V-shaped sclerite consisting of closely set setae, a large setose trapezoidal area forward to the V, and ventrolateral lobes covered by fine spinules. Female subgenital plate large, broad basally and slightly constricted mesolaterally, posterior margin convex.
Description. The type specimens were described in details in Li et al. (2015, figs. 1–10), as well compared with the variability throughout the range of the species. The larva described under the name S. teleckojensis in Zhiltzova & Teslenko (1997) refers on this species.
Distribution. Besides Inner Mongolia of China from where the type specimens are designated, the species is known from Mongolia and Russia (from the Altai Mts to the Chukotka Peninsula), reported under the name Suwallia teleckojensis ( Teslenko & Zhiltzova 2009, Judson & Nelson 2012).
Etymology. The name refers to the the previously misunderstood identification, and Latin “erratum” means fault, mistake.
