Glyptoperichthys parnaibae Weber 1991: 641 View in CoL . Type locality: Lac de Parnaguá, Rio Paraim, bassin de Parnaíba, sys. côtier brésilien; Maranhão, Brésil. Holotype: NMW 48034, illustrated in Weber (1992:21, pl. 16b).

Native Distribution: Parnaíba River basin, Brazil ( Weber 2003).
