Chaetostomus undecimalis Steindachner 1878: 90 View in CoL . Type locality: Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta, Magdalena basin, 40 km east of Barranquilla, Colombia. Lectotype: NMW 47224, designated in Weber (1992:26); illustrated in Steindachner (1879d:43, pl. 8).

N a t i v e D i s t r i b u t i o n: Magdalena River basin, Colombia ( Weber 2003); also Cauca and Catatumbo River basins ( Maldonado-Ocampo et al. 2005).
