Pholetesor maritimus ( Wilkinson, 1941)

Diagnosis. Metacarp about 3.5× longer than its distance from apex of marginal cell; spurs of hind tibia subequal; postscutellum without an emargination between its middle point and forwarding-pointing projection, phragma concealed; scutellar sulcus with obvious foveolation; T1 and T2 strongly rugose; T1 parallel-subparallel sided; T2 rectangular; hind coxa and hind femur entirely infuscate; setaceous part of ovipositor sheath as long as hind basitarsus; ocelli on a rather high triangle; and propodeum quite dull, densely rugose except within posterior corners where surface tends to be shiny.

Host. Bucculatrix maritime Stainton (Bucculatricidae) , Bucculatrix maritima [ Aster pannonicus ] ( Bucculatricidae ), Bucculatrix maritima [ Aster tripolium ] ( Bucculatricidae ), Phyllonorycter Hubner [ Salix ] ( Gracillariidae ).

Distribution. China (Anhui, Jiangsu, Xinjiang) new record; Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, United Kingdom.

Note. This species is recorded from China for the first time. Characters of material examined here mostly agree with the description of Nixon (1973) and Papp (1983) except for propodeum being not quite dull, but somewhat to highly shiny anteriorly and not densely rugose as T1, just rugose around and beyond nucha; T3 not distinctly rugulose to rugose on its fore half, but at most rugulose along anterior sulcus.
