Type species.— Antedon serripinna Carpenter, 1881 .
Diagnosis.— A genus of Colobometridae with ten arms; cirrals with transverse aboral ridge. First interior pinnule present or absent; second pinnule enlarged, stiff, prismatic, with distal ends of pinnulars produced as broad spine, flange, or tuft of spines (from Hess & Messing, 2011).
