Material ( NMSA - Type 1101): NAMIBIA: 14 ♂ (HT & PT) 4 ♀ ( PT): ' South West Africa 2115 Ba / Omaruru Dist . 50 km, N. W. / Omaruru, 1200 m. 5-11-1974 / ME Irwin, flood plain / with large Acacia trees' ( BMNH - 1 ♂ PT).

Etymology: L. argenteus - silvery (refers to shiny white mystax).
