Podocarpus laetus Hooibr. ex Endl., Syn. Conif. : 214 (1847)

Original locality:— New Zealand, based on plants raised from seed collected from the Bay of Islands by Hügel in 1834, and cultivated in his gardens at Hietzing near Vienna, Austria.

Type:—Lost or destroyed by war action in 1945. Neotype (here designated): P01621724 !, ‘ Podocarpus laeta Hoibrenk S.T. Mai 1852 , Hort Parisi ‘, Fig. 2
