Record as epibiont on cnidarians: Arnold & Boulenger (1915) recorded an unidentified representative of Trichodina on jellyfish Limnocnida tanganyicae (Gunther, 1893) and L. rhodesiae Boulenger, 1912 , while Fantham & Porter (1933) noted the occurrence of any trichodinids on L. rhodesiae from the Limpopo River System ( Van As & Basson 1986). Trichodina sp. was found on the external surfaceof scyphoid medusa Acromitus rabanchatu Annandale, 1915 from marine and brackish waters from the coast of Tenasserim and also from Odisha (Orissa), India ( Annandale 1915).
