Record as parasite on cnidarians: This species was found as parasite associated with varieties of corals e.g., Stylophora pistillata Esper, 1797 , Pocillopora damicornis (Linnaeus, 1758) , P. verrucosa (Ellis & Solander, 1786) , P. eydouxi Milne Edwards, 1860 , Montipora monasteriata (Forskål, 1775) , Acropora aspera (Dana, 1845) , A. humilis (Dana, 1846) , A. formosa (Dana, 1846) , A. nobilis (Dana, 1846) , A. tenuis (Dana, 1846) , A. valida (Dana, 1846) , A. florida (Dana, 1846) , A. hyacinthus (Dana, 1846) , A. clathrata (Brook, 1891) , A. downingi Wallace, 1999 , Leptoseris explanata Yabe & Sugiyama, 1941 , Pachyseris rugosa (Lamarck, 1801) , Hydnophora microconos (Lamarck, 1816) , Favia stelligera (Dana, 1846) , Favites abdita (Ellis & Solander, 1786) , Goniastrea retiformis (Lamarck, 1816) , Leptastrea purpurea (Dana, 1846) , Cyphastrea chalcidicum (Forskål, 1775) , and C. serailia (Forskål, 1775) from Indian, Pacific and Atlantic Ocean ( Antonius & Lipscomb 2001; Page & Willis 2008).
Remarks: This ciliate infections causing diseaces Skeletal Eroding Band (SEB) ( Antonius & Lipscomb 2001; Winkler et al. 2004; Page & Willis 2008).
