Etymology. I am happy to dedicate this species to Mr. Clodoneo Carrion, the distinguished naturalist who caught these specimens in Loja, in 1924 (Larrousse 1926: 138).

Original citation. “Je suis heureux de dèdier cette espèce à M. Clodoneo Carrion, le distingue naturaliste qui a capture ces exemplaires Loja, em 1924” (Larrousse 1926: 138).
