Etymology. We dedicate this species to Dr. Eduardo Del Ponte, who is the person who has best studied triatomines in our country ( Romaña & Abalos 1947: 91).
Original citation. “Dedicamos esta especie al doctor Eduardo Del Ponte, que es quien mejor ha estudiado los Triatomideos en nuestro país” ( Romaña & Abalos 1947: 91).
