There are 8 ♂ 1 ♀ cotypes, among which one of the three male specimens bearing the label “Yayeyama, VIII, 1907” is selected as lectotype.

Oguma, K. 1913 a: (Japanese Calopterygidae). Dobutsugaku-Zasshi (Zool. Mag., Tokyo), 25, (296), 307 - 321 (June, 1913) (In Japanese).

Oguma, K. 1913 b: Japanese dragonflies of the family Calopterygidae with the descriptions of three new species and one new subspecies. Journ. Coll. Agr. Tohoku Imp. Univ., 5, (6), 149 - 163, 1 pl. (Aug. 1913).
