Description of Pseudomonas oryzae CAU 1692
Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellate, and rod shaped. Colonies are white colored after incubation for 3 days on MA at 30° C. In the API 20NE system, positive for urease, esculin hydrolysis, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, gelatin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-D-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, malic acid, and trisodium citrate are utilized as sole carbon sources; while adipic acid and phenylacetic acid are not. Strain CAU 1692 About CAU (= NIBRBAC000509676) was isolated from a soil sample at Ansan , Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea .
