Type material. Holotype USNM 850226 About USNM (1 spm + 1 slide with sclerites); paratypes USNM 850227 About USNM (1 spm + 1 slide with sclerites/radula), USNM 850229 About USNM (1 spm + 1 slide with radula and jaws + 1 slide with sclerites).

Remarks. One lot of the USNM collection (850230) is labeled as a possible paratype, but it was not originally designated by Scheltema (1985: 516) so it has no type status.
