Acyphoderes crinita ; Audinet-Serville, 1833: 548; Monné, M. A., 2005: 455 (cat.); Wappes et al., 2006: 17 (distr.); Monné, M. L. et al. 2009: 20 (distr.); Monné, M. L. et al., 2010: 242 (distr.).

The female specimen of Stenopterus crinitus Klug, 1825: 47 , pl. 44, fig. 11 ( Figure 8 ), with the labels Rio [Rio de Janeiro], (Acc 19915), Langsdorff, is herein designated as the lectotype ( Figure 9 ), in order to stabilize the taxonomy and facilitate further identifications of this species; 2 specimens, male and female, same locality and collector are herein designated as paralectotypes.

Type material. Lectotype female ( Figure 9 ) (present designation): “ crinita Kl / Rio. v. Lgsdf” “19915” and “ LECTOTYPE / Acyphoderes crinita ( Klug, 1825) / des. Monné & Monné 2015” ( ZMHB).

Paralectotypes: 1 male, 1 female, same labels: “Hist. Coll. ( Coleoptera ) / Nr. 19915 / Stenopterus / crinitus Klug. / Rio / Zool. Mus. Berlin” and “ PARALECTOTYPE / Acyphoderes crinita ( Klug, 1825) / des. Monné & Monné 2015” ( ZMHB).

Distribution. Brazil (Espírito Santo to Rio Grande do Sul), Bolivia (Santa Cruz), Paraguay, Argentina (Misiones, Buenos Aires).
